Im a good golfer (4 handicap), but have the strangest problem. I practice golf every day for at lest 2 hrs and I hit my long irons and woods really well, but then I chunk my short irons like I forgotten how to swing then ill come back 10 min later and hit them perfect. I'm 19 and absolutely obsessed with golf. It seems like the perfect life for me would be doing nothing but playing golf all day long and getting better. I want to devote my life to golf and make a living on the pga tour someday. I'm athletic and I am really good at handling pressure. I also have a lot of free time on my hands and great golf practice opportunities. Hello, I am very interested in golf right now. I played the wii and I got a perfect score on the approach club and the iron. However I only got about 17 out of 20 attempts nearly perfect for the driver club. This has gotten me very excited and I think I may have some talent hopefully. How do I develop rather good knowledge of golf before I go to a golf course? Should I read a book? I also think I have some used golf clubs but I don't know exactly. Yesterday the kids were playing outside and one ended up swinging the golf club and caught the other in the forehead. So we took him to the hospital and he had 3 stiches put in and is fine-Thankfully! Since it was step siblings the dad had to take him back to his mom and now he is mad at me because he had to take him to his mom injured. Now I feel kind of upset and don't know how to feel, because it was an accident and my daughter feels terrible. I'm probably not the only one who feels this way. The Tiger haters continue to say that Tiger's days of dominating golf are over, and that he'll never be the same again. When people WANT something to happen, they tend to believe that it WILL happen. Why do they think that Tiger will never be himself again? Yeah, he hasn't been great this year, but he's coming back from an extended absence. In 2 days with a driver I am hitting 315+yards straight at the driving range. Where to go from here. Advice? I picked up a golf club a month ago and I couldnt hit it more than 120 yards and it never went straight. I saw a 12 year old girl hit the ball 150 and straight and I became obsessed. 1 month later, going to the driving range 4 times a week and hearing tons and tons of different tips and style suggesetions about my swing, I decided I would buy a driver for fun. 2 days ago I bought a Callaway FT5 with a 10degree loft and a stiff fukimara shaft. Game Improvement Clubs?

I just started golfing a couple weeks ago and took a few lessons. Like most beginners, I occasionally have a mean slice. I've also been using my dads clubs that are probably dated back to the mid 80's. I know that if I purchase newer clubs, it should help improve distance and (depending on my swing) accuracy. I hear people telling me to purchase "game improvement clubs" that are "forgiving", but I kind of feel like I would be cheating myself out of actually learning to hit the ball. I know that new Nintendo ds's go for $130, but was wondering how much this one would go for. I'm a 14 year old girl, 5'3-5'4 ish. Right now I have a very old driver and I'm in desperate need of a new one. I went to the golf shop a few days ago and was successfully failing at finding a driver for me. I was thinking about a senior flex because it would help me with my club head speed but the senior flex was too long and if I cut it down, it would defeat the purpose of a senior flex! Not Hitting the Golf Ball Consistently?

I have trouble hitting the ball so it gets airborne and goes the distance. Sometimes I know what I did wrong (topped the ball, didn't look at the ball etc.) but sometime i feel like i hit a perfect shot with my 9 iron and it gets off the ground about 7 feet and goes about 30 yards plus roll.do you know what I am doing wrong? i am 12 years old and i think i swing at a moderate speed. i am taking lessons and sometimes the instructor has to see me swing a couple of times to assess the error i am making.
